What is Entertaiment?

Entertaiment

Entertaiment is an art form based on a wide variety of media. It can range from a simple choice of private entertainment by a person, to an entire party arranged and furnished; or from a single ceremony, religious festival, or satire, to performances intended for thousands and even millions of people. The word itself comes from the medieval Latin intertenere, and has been adapted to fit different times and cultures. Frequently, entertainments touch on themes that the brain was evolved to deeply react to, in order to understand and function in a social world. These include themes like murders, backstabbing and other things that the brain was designed to react deeply to.
